CHANGES IN THE LEVEL OF NT-proBNP AND MEAN PULMONARY ARTERY PRESSURE FOLLOWING BRONCHOPLASTIC LOBECTOMY OR PNEUMONECTOMY AS MARKERS OF RIGHT VENTRICULAR DYSFUNCTION

چکیده
Background There are scanty data of right ventricular dysfunction markers after major pulmonary resection. Objective To study the changes plasma level N-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide (NT-proBNP) and its association with artery pressure (PAP) as in patients who underwent bronchoplastic lobectomy or pneumonectomy. Material Methods The population consisted 36 aged 40–65 resection for lung cancer 2016–2018. Patients were stratified into two groups according to type surgical procedure: lobectomy, main group (n = 19), pneumonectomy, control 17). They then analyzed NT-proBNP concentration, operative time, blood loss, intraoperative fluid administration, urine output, mean PAP before an operation. Results correlated positively concentration pneumonectomy (Pearson r 0.916754; p < 0.001). This correlation was no evident subset undergoing at same determination point 0.234741; 0.330). Conclusion increased significantly is closely NTproBNP concentration. These findings support conclusion that bronchoplasty preferable over patients.

NT-proBNP as a biomarker of right ventricular dilatation and pulmonary regurgitation in Tetralogy of Fallot
Background After surgical correction of Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF), residual pulmonary regurgitation (PR), right ventricular (RV) dilatation and RV failure have been associated with adverse clinical events and are considered criteria for pulmonary valve replacement. Cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (CMR) is the gold-standard for evaluation of these parameters. However it is an expensive...
متن کاملNT-proBNP can be used to detect right ventricular systolic dysfunction in pulmonary hypertension.
Right ventricular systolic dysfunction (RVSD) at baseline (pre-treatment) predicts early death in patients with pulmonary hypertension (PH). However, RVSD can only be detected reliably by prohibitively invasive or expensive techniques. N-terminal B-type natriuretic peptide concentration ([NT-proBNP]) correlates with RV function in PH; however, an [NT-proBNP] threshold that indicates RVSD in ind...

Pulmonary hypertension (PH) is an important cause of heart failure in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The pro brain natriuretic peptide N-terminal (NT-proBNP) has been suggested as a noninvasive marker to evaluate ventricular function. However, there is no evidence to support the use of NT-proBNP in monitoring the benefits of vasodilators in COPD induced PH. Thus, we used NT-proBN...
متن کاملRight ventricular dysfunction persists following brief right ventricular pressure overload.
OBJECTIVE Acute pulmonary hypertension may cause right ventricular (RV) contractile failure. While it has been assumed that restoration of normal loading conditions after acute pulmonary hypertension is sufficient for complete recovery of RV function, this has not been rigorously examined. The purpose of this study was to test the hypothesis that acute RV pressure overload produces RV contracti...
